Our initiatives

Mental Health

Strengthening mental well-being through community engagement, institutional preparedness, research, advocacy and approaches that connect people with systems of support.

Why This Matters

Mental well-being is shaped not only by access to individual care, but also by the environments, institutions and communities in which people live, learn and work.

Our Approach

We work to strengthen mental-health awareness, institutional preparedness, supportive communities and the connections between lived experiences, research, policy and practice.

Campus Mental Health & Systems Strengthening

Our campus mental-health work asks how educational institutions can turn guidance into daily practice: accessible support, safe referral pathways, anti-discrimination measures, staff responsibilities, and meaningful student participation. At ConFab 2026, Manuskey convened a Campus Mental Health Action Lab focused on the gap between guidelines and ground reality.

Advocacy/dialogue completed. Longer-term campus research, institutional assessments, audit/certification methods and pilot collaborations are in development.

Advocacy, Research & Capacity Building

We contribute to conversations about mental-health inclusion, student wellbeing, stigma, disability, caste and structural barriers to support. Our developing research agenda examines how campuses and communities can translate guidance into real support.

Baseline-study planning, implementation toolkits and mental-health first aid curricula are developing projects, not published research outputs or validated certifications.
